The Building Department acts as a local Flood Administrator and enforces town codes, New York State Uniform Fire codes, New York State building codes, and issues building permits for property in the Town of Corinth.

The Code Enforcement Officer is responsible for issuing appearance tickets to all offenders of building permits, mobile homes, junkyard, State Uniform Fire Prevention and building codes.

This is also the department where the following Certificates and Licenses are issued:

• Certificates of Occupancy 
• Certificates of Compliance 
• Licenses for junkyards
• Licenses for mobile home parks
• Licenses for travel trailer camps
